Is counselling right for you?
Is counselling right for you?
It takes courage to ask for help. Often we've learnt to rely on ourselves and are reluctant to admit that we're struggling or looking for something different. But there are times in our lives when we feel really stuck, when the things we've done before don't seem to work any more. At these times we can feel overwhelmed and alone.
Talking to someone in a safe and confidential environment, someone who won't judge, criticise or offer unwanted advice, can help us find a way out of the darkness. Counselling can help us to understand what's happening more clearly and to develop confidence in our own abilities to make our lives more how we want them to be.
I work with adults at all stages of life and with a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, relationship problems and sexual and emotional abuse. I have a special interest and experience in Asperger's Syndrome, work-related issues, ageing and terminal illness.

It's important to have a comfortable, secure and confidential place for counselling sessions. Face to face sessions take place either in London Bridge or Woldingham, Surrey and also online if appropriate. During the COVID-19 crisis I am working exclusively online, mainly using Zoom.
My London counselling rooms are at The Psychosynthesis Trust, easily accessible from London Bridge station.
My counselling room in Woldingham is in a beautiful rural location with easy access to Oxted, Caterham and the M25.

The next step is to contact me to arrange a mutually convenient time for an initial assessment session. At this session we will explore what it would be like to work together and will agree to either a fixed number of sessions or an open-ended arrangement.
My fees range from £60-£80 per counselling session, depending on time and location. All sessions are 50 minutes long.
