Counselling and Coaching

Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.

About me

I'm a qualified integrative counsellor, psychotherapist and coach, bringing together aspects of a range of recognised approaches in the way that suits you best. I work in private practice in London Bridge and Surrey and also in an NHS GP practice in South West London. I'm also a member of the counselling team at  The Psychosynthesis Trust .

I bring to counselling and coaching many years of experience helping people realise their potential. For over fifteen years I was a consulting director at professional services firm PwC, coaching leaders, developing teams and creating work environments where people felt valued and motivated. I worked in both public and private sectors.

My style is relational, warm and completely accepting.

My qualifications and experience

I have a Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling from the Psychosynthesis Trust. The course is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and awarded by Middlesex University.

As a Registered Member of BACP,  I work within its ethical framework. I attend regular clinical supervision to support my work and invest in my continued professional and personal development as a counsellor. I'm also a member of BACP Coaching.

All psychotherapists in training undergo their own therapy in order to be better aware of how their own minds work. It is necessary for therapists to know as much as possible about their own feelings and challenges in life and to guard against any wishes they may have to influence or direct an individual who comes for therapy. My own therapy has been a transformational process which has supported me not only in my work but also in my life.

I have an MA in Creative Writing and Personal Development from the University of Sussex and an MSc in Human Resource Management from Southbank University. I am a qualified teacher (PGCE) and CIPD member.
